Gradius (1985) – Video Game Review
Ok, so this review for Gradius is one I am taking pride in! What I mean by this is the fact that this video game is freaking awesome and a personal fav!
What game is this… The original Gradius that came out for the NES in 1985!
You see, this game, which was originallly released for the Arcade by Konami… And which was released in the United States under the name ‘Nemesis’… Well this game is pretty awesome, and I will tell you why!
In the modern day sense, if you have a space race game, or a game where you are taking on the big bad in a spacefighter… The graphics generally speaking are going to be absolutely amazing and almost feel a little to real… The story is likely to be pretty awesome, and the effects are going to be pretty brilliant! I mean I honestly think it is pretty safe to say that short of the next generation (The installation of an actual virtual flight simulator,) the modern space fighter game has gone almost as far as it can go! Well Gradius is an ancestor of these games, and is still as good now as it was when I first played it in the early 1990s!
I first discovered this game at a friends house… This friend had the second sequel of the game, and had it under the title of, ‘Nemesis’… But that game was fun and I had to set out to find the first game, (For more information on Gradius 3, please check out the review for the game by clicking here:)
And when I did finally find the game… I found it to be just awesome as Nemesis was! It had great graphics, great effects, and a fun edge of your seat game play! The only thing that I have to be honest and say that I did not entirely love was the fact that the original three games are near identical… But they are still fun and well worth it!
So if you haven’t tried it yet, then I highly recommend doing so! I do think you are really going to like it!
