Martin Landau… May He Rest In Piece!

A true talent who will be missed!

Well it happened again… One of the greats in the movie/TV world has passed away! You know I have to say that really does suck! And if you get a chance, and you are a fan of the work some of these old timers have done… Then I highly recommend checking out there work, and if you get the opportunity to, meet your hero! I have had a chance to meet a few and I was glad I did!

Martin Landau (Mission Impossible) is one that I always wanted to meet, and since he passed away a few days ago I never got the opportunity… I wish I had… He was a cool dude I have heard!

I didn’t get to follow his early work… But I got to follow some of his later movies and TV appearances… And I have to say that I was really impressed! I first started following Martin Landau’s career in the early 1990s when he was playing an aged Bela Lugosi, when Bela Lugosi was in the wanning years of his career and mostly doing work for Ed Wood (Plan 9 From Outer Space) in the movie, Ed Wood (1994)!

Martin Landau as, ‘Bela Lugosi’ in, ‘Ed Wood’ (1994)… He did a magnificent job in that role!

That movie itself was funny and awesome, and frankly I didn’t know who most of these people were back then… But knowing now, I have to say that I was quite impressed with Mr. Landau as Bela Lugosi! He actually did a great job introducing me to an actor that I would enjoy later on!

Since then though I have gotten to follow alot of Martin Landau’s work, including roles in: The X-Files: Fight The Future (1997) with David Duchovny (Evolution) & Gillian Anderson (The Fall), Rounders (1998) with Edward Norton (The Incredible Hulk), Sleepy Hollow (1999) with Johnny Depp (Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street) and so much more!

Fortunately, his legacy will live on forever in the hearts and minds of his friends, his family and the legions of fans he has all over the world!
