The Rolling Stones: (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction (1965) – Song Review
One of the things that I do rather enjoy about the type of work I do is the fact that I really get to investigate all of the great heavy metal and rock n’ roll music that is out there! And boy is there a lot of it! How cool is it to be able to say that you have literally reviewed almost 70s years of some of the most heavy duty hardcore, amazing music out there!
So far I have had the opportunity to review some of the greats such as, ‘Metallica’, ‘Rob Zombie’, ‘Pantera’, ‘Black Sabbath’ and so much more! As as a matter of fact, I am glad that I am getting to review this next song from a band that I honestly don’t know much about, that being work from, ‘The Rolling Stones’…
I know, I know, don’t hate me for not having done a review of it… Honestly, I have not heard much of their music… It just never really came up on my radar! But with the stuff that I have listened of theirs, which honestly is mostly their stuff from their younger days back in the 60s, but I have to say that I like it!
I have always been a fan of where real rock ‘n roll came from, I mean beside the fact that a lot of what rock ‘n roll was doing back then is just getting their feet wet… I mean in the 50s it was still being accepted by the populace, and by the 60s, it was this fun head boppin good time that you could listen to with your favorite girl!
And what the Rolling Stones did with, (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction from the B Side of their 1965 album, ‘The Spider In The Fly’ was pretty amazing!
If you haven’t heard this song yet, check it out! This song has been extremely popular for quite a few decades, having been covered by the likes of, ‘DEVO’, ‘Otis Redding’, ‘Britney Spears’, ‘Aretha Franklin’, ‘Jerry Lee Lewis’, ‘Vanilla Ice’ and so much more!
Now I know I haven’t really gone in to why they rock, and here it is… Honestly, as far as rock ‘n roll goes… A lot of Rock, as well as heavy metal that I generally tend to listen to is very hard core, very heavy… Or on the edge of your seat fun… This is fun, but it also different!
What I mean by this, is that this awesome classic rock song is to me the equivalent of, ‘Easy listening’. What I mean by that is that it is something that you can have as background music and really enjoy it! You can have that as the music that you listen to when you go to sleep! Or if you are just looking at spending some time out on the porch watching the night sky while listening to some good tunes… This is definitely a great song for that!
If you haven’t check this out, do so! I think you are really going to like it!
