Avengers: Infinity War (2018) Sci-Fi Movie Review

The first time all of the current franchises met under one movie!

Do you remember when you were a kid and you used to look forward to getting the latest issue of one of the great comics out there…

Well over the decades Marvel and DC have both been pulling themselves up from the bootstraps and really has been turning the Marvel and DC world in the comics in to live action entertainment that is pretty awesome!

And especially with the MCU, we have seen Marvel take the various Avengers out of the world of the comics and have begun to make their live action personifcation pretty amazing!

And the culmination of all of this really coming to an intereting end starting with: Avengers: Infinity War (2018)!

Written by: Christopher Markus (You Kill Me), Stephen McFeely (Life And Death Of Peter Sellers) & Directed by: Anthony Russo (Community), Joe Russo (Courtroom K). Starring: Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Avengers: Age Of Ultron), Chris Evans (Captain America: The First Avenger), Scarlett Johansson (Iron Man 2), Don Cheadle (Iron Man 3), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) & Chadwick Bosserman (Black Panther).

(Please Note: Since this is the culmination of several different independent movie franchises… There is still a bunch more not mentioned… But maybe mentioned in this article!)

“This is the Asgardian refugee vessel Statesman. We are under assault. I repeat, we are under assault. The engines are dead, life support failing. Requesting aid from any vessel within range. We are 22 jump points out of Asgard. Our crew is made up of Asgardian families. We have very few soldiers here. This is not a warcraft. I repeat, this is not a warcraft!“ – Asgardian Distress Call (A quote from the movie, Avengers: Infinity War (2018).)

Thanos minions holding Loki (Played by: Tom Hiddleston) onboard the wrecked Asgardian ship.

This movie tells the story of the inter-galactic terror known as, ‘Thanos’… You see, Thanos (Played by: Josh Brolin), Thanos believes that the universe is to over crowded… And that the only way to handle things like, ‘War’, ‘Poverty’ and, ‘Famine’ is to destroy literally trillions… If not quadrillions of lives all over this plain of exisitence!

In his efforts to do this, Thanos is using various agents to try and hunt down the, ‘Infinity Stones’…

You see, the infiinity stones are a group of stones that were created forever ago… They are each one extrodinarily powerful… But together… They would make you so powerful… That you could pretty legitimately wipe out half of creation!

The Infinity Stones!

So Thanos is off on his search for the Infinity stones… and as he grabs more and more of them from all over the universe… He will get closer and closer to the final infinity stone… The one that happens to be on Earth and in the hands of, ‘The Avengers’… But perhaps earth’s mightiest heroes might not be able to stand up against the Galaxies biggest villain!

When I first saw this movie, I was relatively un-impressed… To much noise in the theatre or something… It brought out the homoginized… Could have been any other super hero movie aspect to it.

But I got to watching it again on Netflix… (Believe it or not on the computer I am writing this article on…) And I liked it!

You know sometimes I find with these Super Hero movies, that they are trying to make them to, ‘spectacular’… And it becomes a little paint-by-numbers… But gettinng to watch it at home… I have found that I really rather enjoyed the usual stuff (Great acting, great special effects… Etc…) But the story was pretty awesome to!

You know, if you are looking for something to turn on, on a nice weekend day or night… Check out this one, it is more than well worth it!
