Deadpool (2016) – Sci-Fi Movie Review

Deadpool after taking out a whole mess of bad guys!

So for the longest time the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has been very heavily divided between, the work that Disney did when they bought out Marvel a few years ago… And the work that Fox did after they bought the rights to some of Marvel’s characters in the 1990s.

Now the work that Fox has done has managed to produce some pretty decent Marvel vehicles, and some total garbage! The ‘X-Men’ series is an example of some of there better work… And sadly their work with, ‘Fantasic Four’ for whatever seems to be almost continuous garbage!

With that said, there is one movie series that they did that in my opinion would be considered more action, then Sci-Fi… But is still awesome as hell… That is: Deadpool (2016)!

Written by: Rhett Reese (Zombieland), Paul Wernick (Clue) & Directed by: Tim Miller (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World). Starring: Ryan Reynolds (The Amityville Horror). Morena Baccarin (Serenity), T.J. Miller (Cloverfield), Ed Skrein (Ill Manors), Karan Soni (Office Christmas Party), Stefan Kapicic (Tears For Sale) & Brianna Hildebrand (Tragedy Girls).

“I know right? You’re probably thinking, “Whose balls did I have to fondle to get my very own movie”? I can’t tell you his name, but it rhymes with “Polverine.”” – Deadpool (A quote by Ryan Reynolds from the movie, Deadpool  (2016).)

This is the hilarious tale Wade Wilson (Played by: Ryan Reynolds)… Now Wade is an assasin for hire… He does odd jobs in often times hilarious ways… Now Wade is living it up, working in the, ‘Dead Pool’… He even has a smoking hot woman in his life by the name of, ‘Vanessa’ (Played by: Morena Baccarin).

Everything is going well, until one day when Wade gets sick… He actually ends up getting so sick that it looks like ole Wade might die!  But in the world where the X-Men are still the top mutants of the day… Getting that sick is not always going to be the problem that we think it is!

So of course, when Wade is offered the opportunity to become a mutant… He ends up taking it!

The methods they used to turn him in to a mutant includes rediculous amounts of torture… But in the end it works… With one unfortunate side effect… His body, (and his face especially) become a grotesque horror show! And when Wade finally escapes… He decides to dawn the mantle of, ‘Deadpool’ and get revenge on the people that did this to him in the most hilarious way possible!

In the end, this movie is absolutely hilarious and extremely well worth it! It is well cast, with a fun story line…. And honestly… It is one of the last great Marvel franchises that Fox created!

Deadpool doing his dance!

In the end, this movie is very well worth it! Check it out! I think you will be glad you did!
