According to: The Nation, it is!
That’s right folks! You see there is a sub-genre at play here in this film… The sub-genre in this case is one that we do not see to tremendously often… But it is incredibly effective… That is, ‘alternative history’.
Now what, ‘Alternative History’ is, is it is a sort of changing of history… It can be where the Nazi’s won world war 2, or where Kennedy wasn’t assassinated… Etc…
In the case of, ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ it takes place around the ‘Tate massacre’, (A series of murders that occurred in the late 1960s at Sharon Tate’s house, by members of the, ‘Manson Family’,) and changes the story so that it ended better than it did in real life!
With that in mind… The movie…. Although some times scorned by the families of the people who actually experienced this horrible situation, does take on a new dimension… Take a look!
